Long Life Center for Wellness and Prevention (December 8, 2022)

About four miles from the family land is a small clinic near the Port Loko Junction in Lungi. The Long Life Center for Wellness and Prevention was founded by a nonprofit located in Philadelphia, PA. This private clinic has a pharmacy, small laboratory, and exam rooms. The facility was very clean, and staff provided a tour of the two-story structure. The staff are all currently employed privately by the clinic owners, but the clinic has requested partnership with the government for additional staff. This request was approved over a year ago, but additional staff have not yet arrived. Although the clinic was very clean and appeared to have adequate staff and services, we observed few patients seeking treatment.
